Current planned activities:

(there may be a few more coming, official schedule is coming soon)

Community Paddle//Float the Little River! 12:00-4:00

  • The float will begin at Sevierville Bridge. There is no shuttle as of now, so we will group up and coordinate transportation/carpooling. The River John’s island is the stopping point and will have free parking all day. Tubing can take around 4-5 hours and boats can take around 2-3 hours. Please plan accordingly for the duration of your float!

  • Don’t have a boat, but want to float? We have a limited number of kayaks and/or canoes we can lend out to participants 16 and older. See the link to reserve one for free! (Donations appreciated.)

    FLOAT Q&A:

    What time is the float?

We plan to leave River John's island at noon.  If you want to carpool with us then we suggest being on the island no later than 11:30.  If you want to meet us at the put in that is fine as well.

    Where is the put in?

Sevierville Road (411) Bridge where road crosses over Little River.

    What if it storms?

We will monitor the weather and barring a large thunder storm we will paddle rain or shine.

How long will the paddle take?

The section from Sevierville Bridge to River John's is approximately 3 miles.  You should expect 2-3 hours if you are paddling and longer if you are floating and or would like to stop and swim.
