We are joining forces with Keep Blount Beautiful, City of Alcoa, and Blount County Soil Conservation District to help clean up Pistol Creek. The goal of this event is to rid trash from the creek but also to remove trash from the general area so as to prevent further pollution into the watershed.

Litter pickup supplies will be provided including trash bags, gloves, and litter pickers. Volunteers are encouraged to wear long pants and shoes that can get wet. Volunteers should bring a mask and gloves if they have them. 

Due to Covid-19, we are having 2 sessions for cleanups 9-11 AM and 12-2 PM, and are limiting the number of people for each session to 6 people. It is preferred that the people signing up are persons that are already in contact with one another, i.e families or workplace colleagues, but it is not absolutely necessary. The meeting location will be given to volunteers when they sign up with their chosen time slot.
